Looking ahead times seem steep

sadness rises to the sky.

But with your prayers and support,

sometimes it seems only half high.

I worry of dying here,

but then I slow down and hesitate.

With people backing me,

my burdens become less great.

I thank you for listening and fighting,

whether a minute, an hour or day.

Having your ear and your support,

easier grows my way.

The HOPE I take into tomorrow,

they seem to brighten my blues of today,

I have things to look forward to,

along my daily way.

So, in my tomorrow, I HOPE,

I find your support there,

because your efforts and advocacy,

for prison reform lift me from despair!

Now that's just a small prose that I wanted to share here today and this is Karen saying thank you to all the advocates out there and to all the avenues where all our voices are being heard and everybody that fights for prison reform. Whether it be for issues on the inside or the out, we are very appreciative of giving us a human voice and knowing that our life matters. Thank you.
